New Robotic Workplace for Automating Logistics Packaging Manufacturing

Lemmacon came to us looking to automate their plastic packaging production. For this project, we built a robotic workstation for ultrasonic welding of shipping crates, using an AUBO collaborative robot with flexible deployment thanks to Easy Robotics base.

The owners of Lemmacon approached us with the need to automate their production line for plastic packaging, specifically shipping crates. The motivation behind this project was a shortage of production staff and the need for a scalable solution to handle high-impact orders with multi-shift operations. Additionally, the client required a modular and versatile system that could be adapted for other production processes without significant additional investment.

We developed a robotic workstation featuring an AUBO i10 collaborative robot, integrated with an ultrasonic welding machine to automate plastic welding. The system includes a custom end-effector, a mobile robotic base, and a quick tool change mechanism, allowing the workstation to be repurposed for different tasks with minimal setup time.

The implementation followed a structured three-phase process: conceptual design, in-house assembly and testing, and final deployment at the client’s site. The result is a highly adaptable automation solution that supports unattended production of multiple plastic crates per cycle, reducing manual labor while ensuring high-quality welds.
