New automated wood inspection project (case study)
Our long-term client, Metrie, has expressed interest in additional equipment for automated wood quality inspection. This time, we were entrusted with the task of building a workstation for inspecting wooden blanks.
This project is part of the client’s efforts toward complete production automation. We named the solution WoodenBlocks Opti Control System, which includes two camera cells separated on the production line by a mechanism for rotating the blanks.
We have published an extensive case study about this collaboration, featuring numerous photographs and a descriptive video. In it, we detail all aspects of the project, the client’s requirements, and our approach to implementing the final solution.
